Age - AOLGor is not a forum for minors. To participate in roleplay in the City of Jasmine, a mun must be at least 18 years old, no matter the age of the character.
City-Wide Ignore Orders - When a City-Wide Ignore order is issued, it is done to protect the roleplay enjoyment of the Citizens of Jasmine and shall be adhered to by the Citizens of Jasmine. Any mun wishing to protest this order may do so in an OOC meeting with the JHC.
Child Characters - No child character under the age of 10 is allowed to roleplay in the City of Jasmine, without OOC approval from the Administrator.
Travel - Unrealistic travel times such as "popping" into a City of Jasmine room from the Tahari and vice versa are strongly discouraged. Muns should attempt a reasonable travel period for their characters.
Time - To further storylines, the City of Jasmine adheres to the generally accepted rule of AOLGor timelines. One mun week equals one Gorean month in the progression process of storylines and aging of characters.
Restore/Delete - Restore/Delete characters are not recognized in the City of Jasmine. The only exception may be granted by the Administrator in the case of a mun emergency. If a mun must delete a sign-on temporarily, the Administrator and City Scribe should be notified before deletion and an appropriate IC reason for the character's absence established.
Should a Jasmine character delete without the above exception granted, at that time they are removed from the Jasmine Roster and shall no longer be considered a Citizen of Jasmine. All rights to any property within the City of Jasmine belonging to any character who deletes is forfeited upon deletion and will be confiscated by the City for public auction.
Should a character be restored, they must make application to the Jasmine High Council to return to Jasmine. If the JHC approves the application, the character must renew their pledging vows to the City to become a Citizen of Jasmine again. Under no circumstances will any property previously confiscated by the City be returned to a restored character. Though each issue is treated on a case by case issue.
Should any roleplay/storylines concerning raids, attacks, death matches, etc., be accepted and it is later discovered any characters participating in such a storyline were Restore/Delete characters, all storylines involving that roleplay will be null and void.
Crossing - Cross-charactering and OOC/IC crossing will not be tolerated. Any character using OOC knowledge or knowledge not obtained by that specific character will be subject to expulsion. Similarly, any character discovered using OOC reasons as a basis for their character's actions will be subject to expulsion and/or City-Wide Ignore.
In addition, any roleplay or storylines accepted where it is later discovered that a character was using OOC or cross-character knowledge to further their storyline and cause injury or defamation to other characters will be placed on City-Wide Ignore and all roleplay concerning such storylines will be null and void.
Multiple Characters - It is strongly discouraged for muns to have more than one character in the City of Jasmine. The exception to this being a temporary character created with the express approval of the Administrator for a City-wide storyline. But seeing as how AOLGor has made allowances for such in the past, unless it causes OOC issues of crossing or time management, then while discouraged it is unpoliceable.
Dice Guidelines - Dice Guidelines in Jasmine strictly adhere to those set forth by accepted Gorean standards. And unless you have a registry stating you have been in Gor long enough to earn dice otherwise, they will not be accepted and you will roll according to the bellow standards.
2d20 - Freewomen, Outlaws and slaves
2d21 - Non-Registered Combatants, such as Male Builders, Scribes, Healers, Slavers, Merchants, Pirates and male pit slaves (female pit slaves are not recognized in Jasmine)
2d22 - Rarii in training and NPC Guards
2d23 - Registered Rarii with the JasRC
2d24 - Registered Rarii with the JasRC
AOL Gor Forums: Although Jasmine models itself with Guidelines from the GHC, Jasmine does not fully adhere to any specific Gor Forum. It is recommended that all city casted members seek Gor-wide registry, for it not only looks good for the city, but for yourself as well. the only registry currently on ignore from the city is the RRaMC. The City attempts to intermingle the AOL Gor roleplaying guidelines with the Books of John Norman to abide as closely as possible with the Books and to enhance RP within the city at the same time.
NPC Characters - Though the City of Jasmine may have a limited number of played characters at any given time, roleplay is based on the premise that a thriving City exists around us and the NPC'ing of these assorted characters is encouraged for the enjoyment of roleplay. A Registry of all established NPC charries will be kept.
Consent - The City of Jasmine is a No Mun-Consent city, unless the RP is unrealistic. If you intend to come into the city and steal a woman, and the guards are not played expect it to be voided. On the other hand, if all the RP is done right, or it is an accepted s/l, then by all means play on. The No Mun-Consent rule does not apply to rooms outside of Jasmine, but is encouraged.
